Rose Neugroschel
LCSW — Verified on Psychology Today
I'm Rose Neugroschel, LCSW — the solo clinician behind R.A.N. Counseling. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space for anxiety, eating and body image concerns, and ADHD-related challenges. Therapy with me is supportive, upfront and transparent, and rooted in your autonomy. We will go at your own pace. Sometimes people know what they want from therapy. Others don't, and that's okay. We can figure it out together.
I work with adults (20+) in-person in Asheville, North Carolina (Western NC) and via telehealth to residents of North Carolina, Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Colorado. Telehealth clients must be physically located in one of those licensed states at the time of session. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical, grounded in evidence-based therapies that explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I believe meaningful change begins with a trusting therapeutic relationship, while also developing insight into longstanding patterns that may be influencing your current experiences and relationships. When working with eating disorders and body image concerns, I take a weight-neutral approach.
As a feminist therapist, I welcome clients of all sexual orientations and gender identities. With 10 years of clinical experience and additional certification in mental health and nutrition, sessions are collaborative. The best way to reach me is through the contact form on this site; this practice does not use text messaging.

Everyone’s path is different, and my role is to walk alongside you with care, offering support that fits your unique needs.
Life's pressures can leave you drained. Therapy offers space to pause, be heard, and refocus on your goals. Over time, you'll gain tools and confidence to handle challenges with clarity and calm.

While anxiety can be motivating and helpful at times, it can also feel crippling. Together, we'll look at your own presentation of anxiety and help you figure out where you'd like to make a change. I can help you build practical strategies to respond more effectively.

Eating concerns are often about more than food. Progress doesn't mean perfection. Together, we'll come up with a definition of recovery that's based on your unique lived experience.

Support for attention, organization, motivation, and follow-through — whether or not you have a formal ADHD diagnosis. Build realistic systems that fit your actual life, with less shame and more self-understanding.

Are you chasing a mood, or building a better life? Therapy for Depression may involve looking at whether your daily habits, behavioral responses, and beliefs align with the person you want to be. Don’t know who you want to be? That’s okay, let’s figure it out.

A deep certification background across anxiety, eating disorders, ADHD, and trauma-informed care.
